Today, we are honoured to be included in 2020’s RegTech100, the top 100 list of the world’s most innovative RegTech companies and we want to take a moment to express our appreciation and gratitude for being counted among the most innovative regulatory technology companies across the globe. The RegTech100’s reputation for identifying standouts within our specialisation makes this recognition all the more meaningful.

The RegTech industry has experienced huge growth in the last few years as banks and financial institutions grapple with the unrelenting pace of regulatory change across all jurisdictions. Over $5bn has been invested in RegTech companies so far in 2020, according to data published by RegTech Analyst, as the compliance challenges have only been exacerbated by the shift to remote work during Covid-19.

As a result, this year’s scenario was more competitive than ever.

What is the RegTech100?

The RegTech100 is an annual top 100 list of the world’s most innovative RegTech companies that set out to remedy regulatory issues within financial services. Each year, a panel of analysts and industry experts vote from a list of 1,000+ companies provided by RegTech Analyst. The finalists are recognised for their innovative use of technology to solve a significant industry problem or to generate cost savings or efficiency improvements across the compliance function.

The RegTech 100 directs senior management and compliant professionals determine which solutions have the most market potential and a higher chance of leaving a lasting impact on the industry.

Cognitiv+ CEO Vasilis Tsolis said: “Making the RegTech100 is an extraordinary achievement. I want to extend a very special thanks to Cognitiv+’s dedicated team of professionals whose passion and creativity are the driving force of our solutions. We look forward to building on our momentum as we continue to drive innovation in deep-learning technology and help others achieve regulatory compliance”.

Cognitiv+’s Regulatory Compliance Technology

Cognitiv+ machine-learning powered technology is designed to accelerate the process of reaching and maintaining regulatory compliance. We developed this technology to meet the evolving challenges that face organisations today and to help them weather regulatory storms: new regulations, updated regulations, cross-referencing laws, and much more.

Our technology tracks relevant legislation, assesses the impact of regulatory changes on a company, creates and changes internal policies, monitors audit trails, and much more. This machine-learning technology has a variety of applications, including reviewing documents, turning them into a machine-readable format, and identifying key provisions. The relevant provisions can then be extracted into an easy-to-read Word/Excel file or will flow into your GRC system. We designed the only machine-learning document review system capable of reliably identifying and extracting obligations from any regulatory text. It can even rank relevant obligations and assign a colour based on their severity: high, medium, or low.
